black jack bonus poker Game Rules
In the normal video draw poker games the fifth card in four of a kind hands is inconsequential. If a player holds four tens then the fifth card, whether an ace or a two, does not affect the payout. Not so in black jack bonus poker. If the fifth card is a black jack then the player is in for a bonanza.
The words “black jack” are often confused with the game blackjack. black jack bonus poker has nothing to do with the game blackjack. Here black jack simply refers to a black jack, which is the jack of spades or the jack of clubs. The essence of black jack video poker can be understood by studying the payouts for the four of a kind hand. A normal four of a kind hand with twos to fours pays out at 80 to 1. But if the fifth card is a black jack the payout goes up to 400 to 1. Similarly a normal four of a kind hand with fives to tens and kings and queens pays out at 25 to 1. But if the fifth card is a black jack the payout increases to 160 to 1. And a normal four of a kind hand with aces pays out at 160 to 1. But if the fifth card is a black jack the payout goes up to 800 to 1, which is the payout reserved for a royal flush. The overall return for black jack bonus poker works out to just over 98%. The payouts start with jacks or better, which is a pair of jacks.
The playing mechanism for black jack bonus poker is simple to follow because it is the same as that for most other video draw poker games. The player first chooses the denomination he wants to play with and then the number of coins he wants to wager. The advantage of wagering the maximum number of coins (that is five) is the considerably enhanced payout for the royal flush.
The player then activates the “deal” button and is dealt five cards. Here the player has to make his only decision of the game. He has to decide which cards to hold and which to replace. The player selects the cards he wants to hold. Usually the dealt black jacks are automatically selected, but in case they are not the player must ensure that they are selected. The player then activates the draw button to replace the required cards.
The player’s winnings based on the payout table are automatically credited to his account. If the player wishes to continue playing then he can repeat the cycle by selecting the denomination and the number of coins. If he does not want to change these he can simply activate the re-deal button to get his five dealt cards. At the end of any deal if the player wants to quit he activates the cash out button and collects his winnings.
