flush attack video poker

Flush Attack is an extremely rare game and you would not find it a lot of sites. In fact, finding a machine to play this game can be quite difficult. The basic game strategy of Flush Attack is the same as other video poker variations. The only difference is in its payout for the flushes.

A Las Vegas variant of flush attack video poker is the Flush Attack 50. Basically, this game has a pay schedule of 1,1,3,4,25,8,[80,50,160],50,800. There are four basic variants of this game played across the world. For a brief discussion of these variants, read on.

8/4 FA

The 8/4 variation of flush attack video poker has the lowest pay structure. The paytable of this variant is usually1, 1, 3, 4, 20, 8, [80,40,160], 50, 800. Here, the [80,40,160] indicates the payout for 80 units in case of 2, 3 and 4 quads, 40 units for 5-K quads and 160 is for aces quad. There have been instances when people have made a mind-boggling 121.622% in some machines that had very few players. The flush takes an average of 10 minutes usually.

7/4 FA

The 7/4 variant has a payout for Full House to 7. However, the value of a Flush when the game is ‘on’ can go up to 25. This can compare with many video poker games.

8/3 FA

The 8/3 variation has a better payout than the 7/4. The payout for straights can, however, reduce to 3. You can expect a 25 on the flush when ‘on’.

8/4 FA 50

This variant is the best of the lot and boasts of the maximum payouts for Flush Attack. The payout for Full House or Straight is 8/4. At the same time, the flush can go up to 25 when ‘on’. There is an increase in the payout for 5-K Quads as well. It goes up to 50.

These games are played like regular video poker games. You will be dealt 5 cards by the dealer or the machine. You can either choose to keep the cards or discard any or all of them. The discarded cards will be replaced at the deal when you hit the ‘deal’ or ‘draw’ button. You will have to hit the ‘hold’ button before the ‘draw’ to confirm that you have kept a hand. If the hand you have is adjudged a winning hand by the machine, you will be paid out based on the paytable. The pay structure may vary from site to site and it is recommended that you read the pay structure before playing.

The betting follows the regular video game pattern. You can bet with a minimum of 1 coin and a maximum of 5 coins. The maximum wager will always fetch you the best returns on a winning hand. When you want to stop playing, hit the red ‘cash/out’ button on the machine to get your credits and winnings cashed out.
